Red Cabbage pH Scale with Household Substances

A row of small flasks filled with red cabbage indicator showing a range of colours from red to green, placed in front of household chemicals like vinegar, baking powder, and caustic soda.

This vibrant pH scale was created using red cabbage indicator and a range of everyday household substances, from vinegar and baking powder to milk of magnesia and caustic soda. Each flask shows a different colour based on the acidity or alkalinity of the substance it contains. A great visual aid for teaching acid–base reactions at home, in schools, or during science-themed parties.
